H&Jumpers For Goalposts

Our new 7-a-side football team, the brainchild of H&J sales whiz James Millard, is now up and running and after a couple of weeks of Monday night practice at Mile End, played its first match in September taking part in a tournament to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The event which raised £1000 for the charity was organised by some of the staff at Natwest Bank and held at their sports ground in Norbury on September 11th. Twenty teams participated including a number of banks and one of our clients, the British Bankers Association, against whom we had a fantastic game that ended in a draw.
Our team combines a wealth of talent from around the globe, with Claiton and Diego coming from the great footballing nations of Brazil and Argentina respectively and also features some home grown stars. Although not especially successful on this their first outing, coming 5th in their league, we are hoping for greater things in the future. Matches against Trowers & Hamlins and Lewis Silkin are already on the cards and there is talk of joining a local league time permitting.
